About Us

Harveys Cellars cocktails

We are a wine, sherry and cocktail lounge serving a range of tapas dishes designed to complement the Harveys’ range of sherries that we have on offer (the famous Harveys Bristol Cream, Fino and VORS).

The venue itself is made up of three main spaces. The central bar area and restaurant, the music room and the Harveys VIP bar. We also have a small museum area featuring Harveys memorabilia, a baby grand piano and View Gallery @ Harveys featuring local contemporary artists. Live background music is played most weekends to compliment your experience and all rooms are available for private hire.

Harveys Museum

Tucked away behind the Bristol Hippodrome...

Harveys Cellars is an upmarket wine, sherry and cocktail lounge that serves top-notch tapas. Housed in a building with a fascinating history, Harveys magnificent cellars are guaranteed to impress. An intriguing venue with a past that spans centuries, Harveys Cellars is the former home and birthplace of the world-famous Harveys Bristol Cream and offers a reminder of Bristol’s sherry and wine heritage.

A small museum area displays many of Harveys’ original artefacts and sits at the back of the venue next to the VIP bar, where aged sherry barrels have been converted into tables. There is also the original baby grand piano, which has been lovingly restored and is played at the weekends in the music room.

Being in such close proximity to Bristol’s biggest theatre makes Harveys the perfect place to enjoy a pre or post-show indulgence. While you’re here, you might want to feast your eyes on the foyer gallery displaying works from local artists – the Bristol Blue Glass bottle display alone is worth a visit. With sherry and tapas tutorial evenings, wine tastings and parts (or all) of the venue available to hire, Harveys is a welcome addition to this cultural city.
